he development of co-ordinated movement, understanding of how to self monitor the intensity of an exercise and change it to suit. Increase general cardiovascular fitness and strength. Develop a healthier lifestyle.
A progression from monitored circuit class 1 to a more challenging cardiovascular experience! Also suitable for low risk individuals and those who do not have a heart condition. If you are unsure about your suitability please consult Alison.
You should be able to work at a high intensity and be a low cardiac risk. If in doubt please come along and speak to the tutor
You should be able to self-monitor your level of exercise intensity and be able to change this to suit your needs.

None, but most particiapnts will engage in more than one class per week or undertake a home exercise or walking programme.
All learners will complete a health questionnaire or be assessed against a referal via Charing Cross Cardiac rehab team. Learners are expected to self assess through the use of a learning journal. Feedback from the tutor is also an integral assessment tool.
Progression witin the class and/or enrol onto another suitable Agewell class.
The usual Agewell enrolment fees apply. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and supportive soft shoes/trainers. You should provide water although tap water is available in the hall.
Help with literacy and numeracy is available through the basic education programme and the Esol programme offers help for speakers of other languages. Additional support can be provided for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Open learning is available at Macbeth. Details are available from the Adult Learning & Skills course guide and from teaching or reception staff.
