Slow paced exercise classes focusing on functional movements, fall prevention and strength exercises.
Anyone who wants to improve their physical and mental health. Anyone who wants a fun space to exercise and enjoy other women's company. But, more importantly having FUN!
No previous knowledge or experience is essential. If this is the first time you are excercising for a long time then please get a check up from your doctor.
You will be able to practise your gentle exercises learnt & be able to see an improvement in your physical health.
By developing a class structure that includes a warm up, a main exercise segment tailored to the goals strength, cardio, flexibility), and a cool down and reguarly updating the classes to keep them fresh and challenging.
Keep active. Aim to do at least 30mins of exercise a day: walking, swimming, gardeing, chores around the home anything that raises your heart level.
You will be assessed throughout the course by the tutor in your ability to perform certain exercises technique, endurance and ability.
The confidence to join other classes or gym.
There are no extra costs. Just wear something comfortable and trainers and lots of enthusiasm.
If you require support to enrol onto the course, your tutor will be able to assist you with this. Please ask when you first attend. Help with literacy and numeracy is available through the basic education programme and the Esol programme offers help for speakers of other languages. Additional support can be provided for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Open learning is available at Macbeth.
