What will the course Cover?

The sessions will vary, they might cover contents related to aspects of Italian culture or current affairs. Sometimes they might focus on general topics such as celebrations, work or holidays.

Who is this course for?

Learners who have studied Italian for 2/3 years and can take part in a conversation by sharing their ideas, requesting clarification, asking questions etc.

What skills, knowledge or experience do I need to start this course?

An ability to communicate in familiar areas, to use present and past tenses and have a positive approach towards speaking in small groups. Use of subjunctive to express opinions useful but not essential.

What should I be able to do by the end of the course?

Feel more at ease when speaking Italian in front of other students, have a wider vocabulary and have acquired new perspectives on some topics.

How is the course organised?

5 face to face sessions of an hour and a half each from Monday to Friday.

What extra study or practice is expected outside of the class?

You might need to read an article or watch a video before the session. Sometimes, writing relevant to the topic discussed can be assigned.

How will my progress be assessed?

In class by the tutor or by peer evaluation.

What can I expect to go on to after this course?

Continue your learning at an intermediate or Upper intermediate level, depending on your current level.

Are there any other costs and what do I need to bring?

The reading material is provided by the tutor and included in the fee.
